PRODUCT GROUP 1. MEMBRANES / Jobimat

From the evaluation of equivalence carried out by DHV Milieu en Infrastructuur BV in December 2002, it can be concluded that:
  • Jobimat is suitable for use as insulation on category 2 incinerator bottom ash in road foundations or road foundations/load distributing layer.

  • Jobimat is suitable for use as insulation on special category incinerator bottom ash in road foundations or road foundations/load distributing layer.

The requirements for using Jobimat are described in the DHV Milieu en Infrastructuur BV report. Subsidence and settlement must be considered in the design, which should be based on the sketched designs in the report.
When Jobimat is laid, the work must be in accordance with the considerations in paragraph 4.6 and the sketches of the principle in chapter 6.

In addition to the requirements arising from the use of Jobimat, account must also be taken of the requirements imposed by the Building Materials Decree on work in which incinerator bottom ash is used. These requirements are shown in abbreviated form in paragraph 6.6.

Jobimat is therefore evaluated as equivalent for these applications in the sense of appendix H of the Implementation regulations of the Building Materials Decree. This report can then serve as substantiation for a report to the relevant authority.

We can send you a copy of the report on request.

Lead-throughs can be made in a similar way to that described in paragraph 9.8.1 of the Guidelines on IBC Measures. The properties of the material to be fed through should be considered. Bituminous material can be secured in a watertight way by heating it. If heating is not possible, adhesives or similar materials can be used to make a watertight structure.
