Nidagravel

Gravel is secured with Nidagravel

Gravel is beautiful but also has drawbacks
A beautifully flat and even gravel path gives gardens, drives and patios a fresh look. The drawback, however, is that gravel is difficult to walk or drive on. On foot, bicycle or car, with a buggy or a wheelchair, it's easy to sink. Gravel also has a tendency, especially with heavy use, to run away. The result is unsightly tracks or holes in which puddles are left after heavy rainfall. And that is certainly not what you had in mind.

What is the solution?
Stabilisation with Nidagravel

Nidagravel panels are 40 mm thick and are made of hexagonal honeycombs with a diameter of 20 mm. The panels have a water-permeable anti-root cloth underneath. When filled with fine gravel, they create a solid surface which is, and remains, ideal for walking and driving on. No tracks or hole and easy to maintain.

Quick and easy
Nidagravel is very quick and easy to install. Depending on the condition of the soil and the load, a foundation of sand or rubble is first laid. The product is laid as follows.

The panels are set down on a well-sealed, flat surface. The anti-root cloth under each panel has an overlap for a good connection.

A light edging ensures that the panels remain straight. The panels are easy to cut or saw to size for corners and curves.

It is now possible to drive all over the filled panels to bring the gravel with machines and wheelbarrows.

The gravel is then simply worked into the honeycombs. A layer of approximately 1 cm above the panels ensures that they remain invisible.

Applications

Paving
Nidagravel with gravel, grit or shells is used in gardens and parks, around homes and buildings for purposes such as paths, patios, drives and car parks, access for window cleaners and fire brigade, roof gardens and the base of trees.

Lawns
Nidagravel is also used as a base for (parts of) lawns that are subject to heavy use, for instance in gardens, parks and on golf courses. It is also used in situations where fire engines or window cleaners' vehicles have to drive over lawns without sinking.
The honeycomb structure of Nidagravel easily and invisibly absorbs the load of the grass mat. Nidagravel offers optimum protection to the vulnerable roots so the grass remains in good condition.

Maintenance
Nidagravel applications are almost maintenance-free. However, if the honeycomb structure becomes visible due to settlement or as a result of heavy use, topping up is necessary to prevent damage to the panels.
